No Go on the House

We found out that, after close to TWO weeks of negotiations, our final offer was not accepted. We heard that they received another offer over the weekend, so we tried putting in another offer a little higher than the bank's last counter offer, but they did not accept that offer, either. But, I don't know what the bank is thinking, because it sounds like they also didn't accept the other people's offer. So, who knows. Perhaps we weren't meant to have that house after all. The Lord can see the bigger picture and, even though we may have thought that house would have been perfect for us, maybe its not the right thing for our family.

So, now we are back at square one, and SCRAMBLING to find a place to rent. We need to be moving in ONE WEEK! School starts the last Wednesday of August. We may end up having to send Scott out to attend orientation, then come back and move the family out during Labor Day weekend. Not our top choice, but we'll do what we have to. Man, this has turned out to be a crazy ordeal!

If any of you know someone looking to rent their house/condo/townhouse located within 10 miles of Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, that is big enough to house 2 adults and 3 insane three-year-olds, PLEASE let us know! And FAST!!!

  1. I am sorry to hear about the house, such a pain! I know of a few other bank owned properties that had the same results, the bank will hold out to sell it for much more than it's worth, but what may be owed on it due to seconds, etc. If they don't get it, they can write it off for a loss for months, etc. Just so you know that you aren't alone, but is a lousy and unfair (near illegal) practice. Good luck with the next step, we'll be praying for you guys--moving is no fun!

  2. Sorry to hear that the house didn't work out. I'm sure you'll find just the right place for you and your family though.

And I love the "daddy-made" pool!! What a terrific idea and it sure looks like your little ones are enjoying it!
