In the kids’ classes they had little parties the day before Thanksgiving. It was kinda crazy, because I was trying to split my time between the three different classes!
In Michael’s class they did an Indian theme. They made little sacks to carry their ‘wampum’ in, had a feast of grapes and cornbread, and were given an Indian name, headband & feather. Michael’s name was “Fierce Buffalo”.
In Katelynn’s class they made butter, had a feast of journey cakes, apple juice & cranberry sauce, and made Pilgrim necklaces & hats. Oh, and Katelynn’s teacher’s birthday was on Thanksgiving, so we surprised her with a little cake, card & gift.
