For a while Scott has had the 'puppy itch' and has been perusing Craigslist for one. When he saw this pup he called right away! He went to pick her up after the kids were already in bed for the night, so we kept her in our bathroom for the night & the next morning while the kids were getting ready for school. After school we put her in an orange box and decorated the lid so we could give the kids their 'present'. When they opened the box to see a puppy inside they were shocked! It was funny, because we turned on some loud music to muffle the sound in case she started making noise before the present could be opened.
She is half Cocker Spaniel, a quarter Bichon Frise, and a quarter Poodle. The name we have chosen is Penny, although if you talk to Katelynn she will tell you her name is Lady Penny. She will not be a huge dog, which is perfect for the kids. She's already adapted to all the handling, and is just the right size for the kids to hold the leash on walks. We are enjoying our new friend!
