San Diego- First Night

After Scott took the boards on a Wednesday, he had until Monday before he had to be back in school, so we decided to take a quick trip to SAN DIEGO!! I love that place. Everything just feels so laid back, and the weather was gorgeous!

First,  we got checked into our hotel in San Ysidiro. It wasn't anything to write home about, but it was a place to sleep. After getting checked in, we headed to Coronado and had dinner at this cute 50s-type diner called Beach-n-Diner. We found it on Restaurant.com, and I'm SO glad we went there. It was just perfect. I loved sitting there at the table looking at our little family and just marveling at how big the kids are now and loving all the fun we were having together.

You know the food's good when they're licking their plates! After dinner we walked around Coronado and walked over to the beach to dip our toes into the water. On our way back to the car, a waiter let the kids blow out all the candles on the tables outside of his restaurant, which they thought was awesome. We also saw a glimpse of the Sea World fireworks. 

The girls wanted me to take a picture of them with their flowers in their hair. I don't know what's up with the crazed look on Katelynn's face, though. Ha ha ha! 

It was a wonderful evening, and a great way to start our trip!
