Back from Oregon

We FINALLY made it back from Oregon. We left Saturday afternoon and didn't get back to Arizona until 3 am Monday morning! And we only made two real stops! Why didn't it take so dang long, you ask? I will let a classic holiday song tell the tale.

There's No Place Like Home For The Holidays
Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home

I met a man who lives in Tennessee and he was headin' for
Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania folks are trav'lin' down to Dixie's sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee, the traffic is terrific

Oh, there's no place like home for the holidays
'cause no matter how far away you roam
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays, you can't beat home, sweet home
But, it was worth the trip. It was so great to see Scott's side of the family and the kids were so excited to meet their baby Oakley. Here are some pictures of the first time they met her.

You can see how much Katelynn loves her new cousin. The whole time we were in Oregon she kept talking about how she 'loves her baby Oakley so much' and 'Baby Oakley loves me, huh'. It was so sweet when they were saying goodbye. Katelynn was holding Oakley and she said, "Oakley, it's meeee!" They definitely knew each other in the pre-existence.

Katelynn was somewhat possessive of Oakley...or is that possessed?

Soon I will post some pictures from Thanksgiving and from our family photo shoot with Scott's brother, Stephen. Just wanted to let you all know we got home safe!
