Pizza & Movie Night with Darby

As I mentioned in this post, the kids have been obsessed with leprechauns lately. I told them that on Friday night we could have a pizza & movie night and watch a movie about leprechauns. Boy, were they excited!! They thought the movie was a little scary at the end, but all in all they enjoyed it. We've actually seen it before. I guess the kids just forgot. It's been a long time since we'd seen it, though.

So, if you want to watch a movie about leprechauns with a young, hunky Sean Connery in it, then Darby O'Gill and the Little People is your best bet!

  1. Darby was our reward movie (more than once) in MS/JH. I'm not sure what we were being rewarded for, but I definitely remember sitting on the plastic chairs in the cafeteria/stage area watching Darby, watching some sort of bug crawl through the hair of the girl in front of me. No, I don't remember if I told her or not. I'm going to guess not. I still can't see her picture on FB without thinking about it.

We also got to see Blackbeard's Ghost more than once. We had Bill and Ted's the last year. Guess which one was the most popular? Still, almost any movie is better than homework, right?

  2. Darby O'Gill! I was JUST thinking yesterday that I so need to watch this again, I haven't seen it in it's entirey as an adult, and I just remember being COMPLETELY horrified by the banshee at the child, and I don't even remember how it all ends. You've inspired me, now I HAVE to watch it... and eat pizza:)
