Last night I had some ladies over for a "Card Party". What the heck is that, you ask? Basically, a bunch of girls get together, talk for about an hour, then decide they should probably make a card, because that what they gathered that evening to do. After that they eat brownies.
We are planning to make this a monthly thing, and include a card swap with it, but we didn't end up talking about any of those kinds of details last night. Too busy chatting about other things, I suppose. Thanks for coming, ladies. I had a really great time!
Here is a picture of the card we made. I don't want to sound vain, but I am really proud of it! I came up with the design myself, and drew the template for the flower freehand. As I was going through my craft stuff to find the supplies I needed, I ran across some of the first cards I made years ago. Maybe that's why I feel so proud of this one. I've come a LONG way, baby! My first cards.... well, let's just say there's a reason I still have them. I didn't want to give them away 'cause they were so bleh. But, this card I was happy to demonstrate and give away! And, since it had been so long since I crafted, it got my creative juices flowing and I sketched out 3 more card designs last night. As my sister would say, "Sweet action!".
