Seven Years, and not an itch in sight!

A couple months ago I committed a cardinal blogging sin. I failed to post the fact that on June 21st Scott & I celebrated our
7th wedding anniversary!

It's hard to believe it has been seven years already. On one hand, it seems to have flown by very fast. On the other hand, it feels like we have been married forever, like the time before we were married was another lifetime ago.

While filling the bookcases in the office, I came across a list I made 4.8.2000 entitled "Qualities I Want In My Future Husband". This was over a year before I had even met Scott. Here is the list:

Priesthood holder
Temple worthy
Nice
Good sense of humor
Controls Temper
Spontaneous
Friendly
Able to Cook
Good looking (cute)
Good smile & uses it!
Somewhat musical
Will support the family
Hard worker
Likes/wants kids
NO swearing!
Taller than me
Helps around the house
Healthy, takes take o/himself
Well-mannered
Strong testimony
Supportive
Encouraging
Communicates w/me when problems arise
Return Missionary

Not *too* demanding of a list, right? Well, it got everything on my list and more when I married Scott. I could not be more blessed than to have him in my life. I am so grateful that we can be married not only till death do we part, but for time & all eternity. Although life has had its ups and downs (as all lives do), I am so happy for the last seven years we have had together, and look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

  1. Ahh. I made one of those lists not long before I met David too. But I made mine on my laptop and it died before I got a copy of it. My aunt made me sit down and make my list when I was about to marry a different guy - a guy who ended up with very few checks on the list. I love my smart aunt.

  6. Yes you do need to get a passport. You have to have it to go to Mexico or Canada anymore. It's just a good idea to have one just incase you have to flee the country because you stole millions of jewels or something.
