A couple weeks ago we went to Cabela’s after the kids’ soccer game because they had a big pool set up in front of the store for kids to fish in! The kids thought it was so awesome. Ever since then Michael has been begging to go on a camping trip and go fishing with Daddy. I love the looks on their faces in these pictures!

The waiting game
Sometimes when running out of the house you forget to grab something to entertain the kids while waiting for your appointment. So, you have to make do with what is in your purse.
I always have my camera in my purse, so the kids usually ask if they can take pictures with my camera while we wait.
I give you…goofing off at the dentist!
By the way- they *love* their dentist’s office! When they found out they had an appointment that day, they wanted to skip school and just go straight to the dentist! I’m not even kidding. The staff is great, and they remember little details about all the kids. The office is nice and clean, and it’s all decked out in an underwater theme. So, if you live near me and need a dentist, check out Arizona Pediatric Dentistry. They are at 108th & Indian School. It’s about a 15-20 min drive, but it’s worth it to me. (I know it sounds like a commercial, but it just took me forever to find a kid dentist and I was so happy to find them!)
Ward Trunk-or-Treat
On Halloween Eve we went to our ward’s Halloween Spooktacular. Every year they do a big party with games, a chili cook-off, costume parade and a huge trunk-or-treat. It’s always a lot of fun. Our friends, the Matthews, met us there. I’m glad they came. It was kinda crazy, because there were a *ton* of people there!
Again, this is the only decent picture I was able to get the whole evening! But, I think it’s a cute one. The kids are showing off their spoils after the trunk-or-treat.
Oh! And on Katelynn’s hair I did these two small pigtails with puff braids, so they ended up looking like little antennas! I wish I’d thought of that earlier. It was way cute.
Oh! And because Michael was all in black it was hard to keep track of him. He kept disappearing into the night! It was funny, because people kept thinking he was a ninja with the black beanie on his head, and he kept correcting them saying, “I’m the spider that bit Peter Parker!!”
Halloween Party at Midwestern
Every year we go to the big Halloween party at Daddy’s school. They always have a lot of fun activities for the kids and trick-or-treating from office to office. The kids always have a great time. There are lot of snacks, crafts, games and inflatables. There was so much going on that this is the only decent shot I got!
A quick run-down of their costumes…
Katelynn was a Ladybug Princess. Scott & I made the tutu and the ladybug wings. Yes, I did say that Scott helped. Unbeknownst to me, he is quite the crafter! Those wings would not have turned out nearly as nice as they did without his help!
Emma was Snow White. Everyone kept asking me if I made her costume. Scott said I should have just taken the credit for it, but I did not make it. I wish I was that good! No, we got her costume at a yard sale months ago for dress up play, so as soon as Emma said she wanted to be S.W. for Halloween I squirreled it away!
Michael was the spider that bit Peter Parker that made him become Spiderman. He came up with that all on his own! That boy has quite the imagination! So, we freezer paper stenciled a radioactive sign on a black sweatshirt and sewed four more ‘legs’. I sewed 2 of the legs to his sweatshirt and the other two we pinned to his pants.
Halloween Party
This year we had a little Halloween party with some of our friends from Scott’s school. We had originally planned to meet at the first friend’s house, then ‘trick-or-treat’ at each others’ houses, but it didn’t work out that way. That’s okay. We still had a good time. You have to be flexible when little children are involved.
Here is a picture of all the kids together.
The two Snow Whites, Emma & Jenn.
All the princesses together. This picture was per Katelynn’s request.
The guys carved pumpkins. Ours is the one with the dim light. It’s a silhouette of a witch. Scott did the carving, and the kids helped remove the guts.
Thanks for hosting, Pam!

We Sure Love Our Daddy!!
Our Daddy is the funnest Daddy to play with in the whole world. He tickles us like crazy! We grab his nose in defense. We always have a great time together. Look at the smiles on our faces!
Tim Hawkins!
Pre-show, getting excited. Oh! One thing that was funny is that the show was held at a church. But, it was NOT what we are used to! As you can kinda see, it has stadium-type seating, or more like a school auditorium, I guess, and a stage with these moving strobe lights, and TVs, and all this showy stuff. Not what we expected at all. I mean, it was a great place for the show, but just not what I was picturing when the lady out front said it was being held in the "sanctuary".
Tim & Willy from Camel Country 108 FM did a little thing before Tim came on.
The comedic master at work.
Seriously, go check out his website. You will be laughing your b-u-t-t off! I'm SO glad Scott & I were able to go. What a fun date night!
